Happy Monday all!
Did you enjoy your weekend? I went to see my parents, due to teaching commitments I hadn't been able to go for quite a while so it was great to catch up and spend some time together.
Today I'm back in crafty mode. It seems all I am making these days are Christmas cards, I am amazed that I still have some new ideas for cards! This time I went with a more vintage-like style, using some Distress Ink and my trusty Distress Tool. The card came together pretty quickly in my head, I had already coloured and glittered the Poinsettia and the rest just came together naturally. Such a shame you can't make out the sparkle in the photo, but it ultrasparkly in real life! I made this card hoping to inspire you to participate in the new challenge over at PCD, themed "Christmas Flowers".
Materials:
* Scalloped base card
* Platypus Creek Digitals Poinsettia, coloured with Promarkers
* Crafter's Companion Iridescent Glitter Spray
* Basic Grey Jovial DP, distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and Distressing Tool

* Eline's Winterhuis Stamp Set
* Ribbon & Gems from Stash
As usual, you have two weeks to play along, hope to see you there!

Christmas Foliage
Hi everyone!
The last couple of weeks have been almost craft-free, as I had my parents over for the weekend and now my FIL and cousin are staying for a week! Of course we are showing them all the sights, we have already been exploring caves and visited a car museum, and today we are trying a bike ride! The weather is absolutely gorgeous, so I am sure we will be having another great day.
Anyway, yet another month has passed and it's time for a new challenge over at CCAYR. The July challenge is "CHRISTMAS FLOWERS".You need to use flowers or holly somewhere on your Christmas cards to be able to participate. Last month, I won some lovely Delicious Doodles digis and decided to use the Poinsettia for my card. One of the great things about digis is of course that you can print them any size you want and that's exactly what I did here. Before I actually stuck all the elements on my card, it has actually been lying on my crafty desk for a week, with me shuffling things around just about every time I walked past it! Still, I am very happy with the result, hope you like it too!
I hope you can join us this month, I for one am looking forward to see all the loveliness you can come up with :)
Materials:
* DL cream base card
* Delicious Doodles Poinsettia digi, printed out in different sizes and coloured with Promarkers, added brown flatback pearls to their centres and then glossed with Crafter's Companion Spray & Shine
* Helz Cuppleditch Pepper's Christmas Party & Basic Grey Jovial DPs, some of it distressed with TH distressing tool
* Scalloped Circle Punch, smudged with red ink
* Ribbon, silver peel offs, gems, sentiment and silver card from stash
Challenges:
* Holly Jolly Christmas (Bingo, I've used Red and Ribbon)
* Crimbo Crackers (Anything Goes)
* I Love Promarkers (Anything Goes)
* 52 Christmas Card Showdown (Anything Goes)
* Allsorts (In Bloom)
* Crafty Calendar (Flowers in Bloom)
* Saturday Challenge (Christmas)
* Totally Papercraft (Can You Digi It?)
* Charisma Cardz (Anything Goes)
* Sassy Studio (Christmas)
