It's a Male Thing
Happy Monday everyone!
I'm back from my parents where we celebrated my mum's birthday, I'll share her birthday card in a couple of weeks. But before then, this is my dad's birthday card. His birthday is in December (Boxing Day) so he has already received it and it's safe for me to share it on the blog :)
Perfect in fact for this week's challenge @ Ooh La La, where our lovely teamy Anne has asked us to make a card "FOR A MALE". The image comes from Ooh La La's Boys to Men CD, such a great image for a winter birthday I think! The string on the card actually was a nightmare to work with, so inflexibe! I tried tying the string into a decorate knot by following a video I found online, but I couldn't do it and after half an hour of faffing (and I have to admit a bit of swearing too!), I decided to make up my own knot and call it a day LOL
Materials:
* Light House image and DP from Ooh La La's Boys to Men CD
* We R Memory Keepers Vintage-T CS
* First Edition Up Up & Away DP
* Silver Ink
* EK Success Binding Edge border punch
* Studio Light sentiment
* Buttons & rope from stash
Hope you can join us over at the Challenge Blog, we're very curious to see what you make for the men in your life|!
Challenges:
* Let's Craft & Create (Masculine)
* Scrap Cards (Winter/Schaatsen)
* Parade Your Crafts (Christmas/Winter)
* Dream Valley (Boys/Men)
* Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge (Embellishments)
* Emergency Crafters (Blue or a Snow Flake)
* Lia Stampz (Color & Picture Inspiration)
* Charisma Cards (It's a Boy Thing)
* Jelly Park (Buttons and/or Bows)
* Robin's Fetish (Winter Cards)

Hello Cupcake!
Hi all,
What a busy week this has been! Lots of meetings and deadlines at work, Saturday shopping with my friend, Sunday cooking (wanted to try something new, but boy was it fiddly!), Monday going to the movies with the hubs (sneak preview of Jack Ryan, can't really recommend it unfortunately); I can hardly remember the days that led up to this one! However, it really is Wednesday evening again and that means a new Treasured Times Challenge! 'ANYTHING GOES' this time, so come on over and share your lovely projects! The winner will get two digis of their choice from the Treasured Times store :) Here's my make:
I pimped a little notebook that I wanted to use for keeping track of upcoming challenges. This is my first attempt at ribbon pleating, I found it pretty difficult to get it all even and straight, but I am pretty happy about this first try.
Materials:
* Digi: Magda by Julie Santiago, coloured with Spectrum Noirs & Promarkers
* Papermania Sweet Nothings DP
* Seedless Preserve Distress Ink
* Petaloo Flora Doodles Flowers
* Dovecraft Cupcake Boutique Wooden Sentiments, coloured with a marker to match the colour scheme
* Ribbon from stash
Challenges:
* Created with Love (Color Challenge: Pink and Purple)
* Allsorts (Use Ribbon, but no Bows)
* Suzy Bees (Cute and Sweet)
* Incy Wincy (Add Texture)
* Craft Your Passion (Cool Colours)
* Polka Doodles (Anything Goes/Girly)
* Diva's by Design (Use Ribbon)
* Natalie & Amy (One for the Girlies)
* Muse Challenge (Inspiration by Muse's card) I've used the cupcake theme
* CMC Copic Challenge (Anything Goes)
