Getting Fruity

Morning all!

Ooh, the weather is so lovely, it really is starting to look like summer! And about time if you ask me, I'm looking forward to skirts and dresses without tights and bare feet :)

First of all, thank you all again for your lovely comment you've left me over the week and my apologies for not coming to visit you. There was barely enough time to take care of my DT duties and the entire month of June seems to be about the same. But I will come and return the favour and visit your lovely blogs, bear with me :)

In the mean time, I have a card to share with you for the new challenge @ Fab 'n Funky, where we challenge you to get your five a day by using fruit in creations. We are sponsored this week by the lovely Stamp Fairy and we received some images to play with, here's Lenny holding some cherries:

* Stampfairy Lenny Fruits 3, coloured with Promarkers & Spectrum Noirs
* DCWV Street Lace, Echo Park For the Record & Flower Fairies DPs
* MS Doily Lace edge punch

* Whimsy Stamps Summertime sentiments

I basically had to search through my entire crafty stash, as I didn't seem to have anything fruity at all in my stash! No papers, no embellishments, nothing! Safe to say, a huge oversight on my part, which I'm sure I will rectify fairly shortly ;) I finally dug up some paper from the bottom of the pile with cherries on, so I did manage after all. I hope you can join us, I am looking forward to your vitamin-C rich creations :)

Indoors Decoration

Good morning everyone!

It has been very quiet on my blog this week and I haven't been able to visit all the other blogs I love as I have been struck down with the flu :( Thankfully I am feeling much better again now, as a new challenge is starting today at Fab 'n Funky themed "WHAT'S INSIDE", one of my teamie Beccy's ideas, meaning that we want you to decorate the inside of your card. I always do that anyway, a great way of using up scraps of paper, but thought I would make a bit more of an effort this time around. I got to play with my new purchase, Card Candi, which I really enjoyed, so versatile but it doesn't add much in terms of weight to your card (very important if you want to mail your cards, which I usually will).

Here is my Christmas-themed card, both inside and out!

My Favourite Colour Combo

Good morning all!

Another Wednesday, another Fab 'n Funky Challenge! This week, my lucky teamie Ginny (lucky as she is in Bali as the moment) picked the theme, asking you to share your "FAVOURITE COLOUR COMBO" with us and make a project with those colours. My Favourite Colour Combination has to be Pink and Purple, it seems to work for so many occasions, including Christmas. Yes, it's out there, I've said it....CHRISTMAS. I am back on the Christmas card bandwagon folks, maybe a little early but I love making those cards and I never seem to have enough of them anyway, how many I make during the year. So why not start early? For those of you who don't have to stomach for it yet (totally understandable btw) of course you can make a card for any other occasion, as long as you tell us what your fave colour combo is and use them in your project.

Here's my card, I hope you have time to join us! I got to use my new Lace stamp, which was a Christmas gift, it's a really great stamp and I think it gives a lot of texture and detail. I think you can expect to see this stamp in quite a few projects!
