Have a Glittery Christmas

Hi all,

This is my first challenge as a DT member over at Treasured Times and our theme is "GLITTER". So if you need sun glasses to view your project, this is the challenge for you! I recently bought some bottles of Stickles, which I thought would be perfect to use for this challenge and I was right; the glitter is so sparkly in real life! Too bad it only shows up a little on the photos. All DT members worked with this lovely image by Christine Young, called Letters to the North Pole, such a pleasure to colour! I hope I've inspired you to join our challenge, we're very curious to see where you will take this theme!

Take a Picture, It will Last Longer!

Good morning all!

Well, that's me a year older! My birthday was on Monday and I turned 36, jeez Louise I'm getting old LOL. Ok, maybe not THAT old, but certainly on my way ;) Anyway, we had a lovely evening. Hubs wanted to take me out to dinner and a movie, but it being Monday lots of places were shut. We ended up at Micky D's, which was fine with me! We then saw World War Z, which I liked a lot, even though I am really not into scary movies. One reviewer said this is a zombie film for those of us that don't usually like zombie films and I think he hit the nail on the head there; not too scary but still startling and something disturbing (mostly off camera though). Never understood where all the zombies came from, but I guess that really wasn't such a big plot point here.

Anyway, from zombies to crafting, not a small step. Although, after a long crafting session, I might sometimes look like one ;) As it is Thursday, a new Delightful Challenge is starting up, themed "Celebrate with Glitter & Sparkle". I took a short cut for this one, cause even though I had the image coloured and ready to go for ages, I hadn't gotten round to making the card and with the deadline fast approaching and me being so tired I could barely keep my eyes open, I opted for using Glitter CS as a base for my glitter element and combined it with several pieces of scrap DP I have left over from previous projects. I used the Say Cheese Polly, which I think it such a lovely image.I bet it works great with scrapbooking pages too, haven't tried that yet but certainly will!

Blingy Buttons

Good morning everyone!

Did you all have a nice weekend? We certainly did, we spent a couple of days in Zeeland, one of the Dutch coast provinces. We had beautiful sunny weather, but there was quite a lot of wind so it was still a bit nippy on occasion. It was wonderful though to get away for a few days :)

But now it's Monday again and there's plenty of fun things today was well, among which is a new challenge over @ Ooh La La, themed "Buttons & Bling". I managed to finish this card by the skin of my teeth, I was working on it yesterday evening when we came back! A case of bad planning on my part I'm afraid, but I managed to finish before my eyes fell shut somehow :) Such a beautiful flowers image, the CD Fleur D'Imagination is packed with them! I'm pretty happy with this card, I love the papers I found in my stash, very cheerfu making the card usuable for many occasions, always good to have in your stash :)

Materials:
* Ooh La La Pom Pom image from the Fleur D'Imagination CD, sprayed with Crafter's Companion Iridescent Glitter Spray

* Button & twine from stash (I applied some crackle glaze on the button, but you can't see it very well)
