I've got some news!

Hi everyone,

I've been sitting on this news for a couple of weeks now, it was pretty damn hard to not blurt it out, but now I have the ok and can tell the world :) I've been asked to join the Delightful Challenges DT and of course I've jumped at the chance! So from now until January you can expect weekly projects from me with Digital Delight products, in addition to any other projects I might be able to make as well. You will find the link to the Digital Delight shop in my right side bar, so you can have a snoop if you're not familiar with them yet. Expect my first card for my first challenge from them in a few days time!

BTW, on a totally different subject, have you seen the enormous candy from Ingvild's blog? I couldn't believe it when I stumbled across it and saw this enormous Prima goodie mountain! With this giveaway Ingvild is celebrating her new blog design, no wonder as it's absolutely gorgeous. And what a great way to celebrate by giving presents to others ;) I love Prima products, so just had to put my name in the cup.You might want to get into the act as well, you have until the 31st of August :)

Still alive!

Hi everyone,

Just a note to let you know I am still alive and crafting! It's been really busy at work with all the interns wanting to graduate on time and that left me with little energy to craft in the evenings and weekends. I have been working on some projects, but can't show them just yet, so I am hoping for your patience, all should be well again at the end of the month!

Enjoy your day :)

New Kid on the Block

Hello everyone!

I don't know what they're putting in the water, but we received another baby card this week, again for a girl! Who they will be dating in 15 years time I have no idea, even at work all my pregnant colleagues seem to deliver is girls!

Still, I really shouldn't be complaining, cause what is nicer than to make a girly card, right? I had picked out a lovely design with flowers, cut everything out, started sewing buttons and just when I wanted to glue the whole thing together.........................................black smudge on the front of the card. I have absolutely NO idea where all this black stuff is coming from, what it is even, but it seems to jump on my hands whenever I want to craft. Anyway, save to say, the card was ruined, as I tried to get the smudge off with a wet cloth and proceeded to take half the colours of the base design along with it.......

Never mind, just had to come up with another idea and since the baby card had a big pink butterfly on the front, I decided to go with that theme and this is what I ended up with:

I'm still pretty pleased with the end result, even though it wasn't my original plan, combining the elements that could be saved with some other stash.

Materials:
* Create & Craft card stock (personally delivered by my FIL when they were visiting this week)
* Studio Light and stash DP
* Studio Light alphabet letters
* Karen Foster Baby Words rub-ons
* DCWV Glitter card (oh, how lovely is this stuff, no glitter falling off but fantastic sparkle)
* Wooden butterflies, gems and pearls from stash
* Rounded corner & Scalloped circle punch
* Eline Vintage sentiment stamp

Challenges:
* Moving Along with the Times (Make it Sentimental)
* Dutch Dare (For a Child)
* Sarah Hurley (Dimension & Texture - Wooden Butterflies)
* Shelly's Images (What the Text)
* Southern Girls (Pearls)
* Always Something Creative (Butterflies)

Christmas Foliage

Hi everyone!

The last couple of weeks have been almost craft-free, as I had my parents over for the weekend and now my FIL and cousin are staying for a week! Of course we are showing them all the sights, we have already been exploring caves and visited a car museum, and today we are trying a bike ride! The weather is absolutely gorgeous, so I am sure we will be having another great day.

Anyway, yet another month has passed and it's time for a new challenge over at CCAYR. The July challenge is "CHRISTMAS FLOWERS".You need to use flowers or holly somewhere on your Christmas cards to be able to participate. Last month, I won some lovely Delicious Doodles digis and decided to use the Poinsettia for my card. One of the great things about digis is of course that you can print them any size you want and that's exactly what I did here. Before I actually stuck all the elements on my card, it has actually been lying on my crafty desk for a week, with me shuffling things around just about every time I walked past it! Still, I am very happy with the result, hope you like it too!

I hope you can join us this month, I for one am looking forward to see all the loveliness you can come up with :)

Materials:
* DL cream base card
* Delicious Doodles Poinsettia digi, printed out in different sizes and coloured with Promarkers, added brown flatback pearls to their centres and then glossed with Crafter's Companion Spray & Shine

* Scalloped Circle Punch, smudged with red ink
