Happy Monday all!
Time is truly flying by now; so much to do but so little time in which to do it before the big C ;) We had a lovely Halloween, thankfully the movie wasn't too scary (Jaws) although I did jump up once or twice!
This fortnight's challenge at Ooh La La is "Stitching, Real or Faux". I opted for real stitching, using some lovely twine I won in a challenge recently. A little different from what I have been working on recently (i.e. Christmas cards), a welcome relief really. I'm curious to see what you will be making of this theme, as usual you have two weeks to link up!
Materials:
* Believe Digi & DP from the Shawn Jenkins CD
* We R Memory Keepers Vintage T Textured CS
* Forest Moss Distress Ink

Traditional Santa
Hi all!
Is the flu roaming around where you are too? Here it is creating havoc, hubs just having recovered and now I'm getting it! At work it's also a complete disaster, with me having to cover for colleagues who can't come in. All in all a pretty busy week!
However, there's also good news, as a new Fab 'n Funky challenge is staring today! This week, Judith is challenging you to use "Traditional Christmas Colours". You don't need to make a Christmas themed project, just as long as you use colours that are traditionally associated with Christmas. We are sponsored this week by DigiDarla, which also provided the jolly fella below.
I did make a Christmas card, as I need to do several more. I'm really pretty pleased with this card; even though it isn't very high on embellishments I spent the entire night playing with ideas and adding finishing touches, taking them off and putting them back on again. I ended up with a pretty striking card, I think. Love it :)
Hope you can join the fun this week!
Materials:
* Digi Darla Santa Clause 2 digi, coloured with Promarkers & Spectrum Noirs
* Basic Grey Jovial DP plus some unknown DP from stash
* Eline's Winterhuis Jingle Bells Stamp Set
* Vintage Photo & Forest Moss Distress Inks plus Distressing Tool
* SEI Christmas Mint Vanilla Icing Accents
* Brad from stash
Challenges:
* Card & Scrap (Christmas Card)
* One Crazy Stamper (Christmas)
* Crafty Bloggers Network (Christmas)
* AnMa Creatief (Kerst/Winter)
* Live & Love Crafts (Christmas Inspiration Collage) The Vintage feel and the Santa's
* A Gem of a Challenge (Christmas is Coming)
* Crafty Calendar Challenge (All Things Christmas)
* Marker Pop (Anything Goes)
* Crafts & Me (Christmas Vintage)
* Allsorts (Christmas Cheer)

You're Such a Witch!
Hi all!
Tomorrow's All Hallow's Eve! Spooky......Even though we don't celebrate Halloween in the Netherlands, my hubs has announced that we will be watching a Halloween movie on the night...gulp. Christmas Cookies
Good morning everyone!
Wow, the minute the clock is set back an hour, Autumn arrives! We are expecting a storm or at least very heavy winds, which I found out when I biked to the train station this morning, I hardly moved forward! But now I'm safe and sound inside again, I'm just dreading the return trip......
I have a Christmas card to share with you, it's getting closer and closer folks! I made this card for the new Ooh La La Challenge, which is "Food and Drink". I love this vintage image, it's from my favourite OLL CD, Yesterday's Memories. I've used up some of the scraps I had from this paper pad on the inside of the card, I can't bear throwing such cutoffs away, but you only need to many little paper strips right? What a dilemma......Anyway, hope you can join us this fortnight, it's a fun theme which is open for a lot of different interpretation, so I'm extra curious to see what you will come up with! Check out the blogpost to see all my teamies' creations!
Materials
* Ooh La La Baking Day from the Yesterday's Memories CD
* Basic Grey Jovial & Dovecraft Let It Snow DPs
* SEI Christmas Mint Chiplets & Accents
* Gems from stash
Challenges:
* Paper Pretties (Eat, Drink and be Merry)
* Crafts To Challenge You (Christmas Festivities)
* Lisa B Design (Traditional Christmas)
* Basic Grey (Food and Drink)
* Aud Sentiments (Christmas Sentiment)
* My Heart Pieces (Anything Christmas)
* Pile It On (Embellishment Crazy) I've used chipboard and gems
* Crafty Bloggers Network (Anything Goes)

Victorian Christmas
Hi all,
The weeks are flying by at the moment, but I'm glad I managed a card for this week's Fab 'n Funky challenge. This week's challenge is DISTRESS, I've used both a distressing tool and using ink to distress the papers. We are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine and the girls from the DT received some lovely images to work with. I decided to make a Christmas card, as the end of the year seems to be approaching so far right now and I need quite a lot of cards still!
Materials:
* Lacy Sunshine Curly Sue's Victorian Christmas digi, coloured with Promarkers & Spectrum Noirs
* First Edition Up Up & Away & Authentique Remembrance DPs
* Forest Moss & Victorian Velvet Distress Ink & Distessing Tool
* Joy Craft Flower Heart punch (I use it for making snowflakes)
* Marianne Design Letters and More Backgrounds & Eline's Winterhuis Jingle Bells Stamp Sets
* Scraps, Sentiment Banner and Pearls from stash
Challenges:
* Addicted to Stamps (Christmas is Coming)
* Crealing (Swirls) On the Paper
* Color Me Creative Classroom (Anything Goes)
* One Stitch at a Time (Anything Goes)
* Creative Fingers (Anything Goes plus Optional Twist: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun)
* Creative Craft Challenges (Anything Goes)
* LadyBug Crafts (Anything Goes)
* Polka Doodles (Anything Goes)
* Crafty Bloggers Network (Anything Goes)
* Art Impressions (Anything Goes)

Such an Elegant Rooster
Hi everyone!
Hope you all had a nice weekend? My weekend started on Friday, when I attended the wedding of a very close friend on the other side of the country, then travelled all the way back home to be on Student Information Market at the university the next day, then a spot of shopping. Hubs joined me in the evening and we had a fantastic steak dinner and then went to the cinema to see Gravity. Stunning images, but I thought the story was a bit weak. I spent Sunday lounging, crafting and catching up on my DT duties.
But now another week is starting and a new Ooh La La challenge is too! The theme this fortnight is "Things with Wings". I've used an image of a rooster from the new Shawn Jenkins Collection CD, which has some fantastic craft sets, both everyday AND Christmas! It would be great to see you all joining us :)
Materials:
* Elegant Rooster image & DPs from the Shawn Jenkins CD, worked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink
* MS Picket Fence border punch
* Pebbles Black Chipboard Chips
* Personal Impressions sentiment stamp
* Pearl from stash
Challenges:
* Let's Craft & Create (Favourite Ink Technique) Using Distress Ink to age images and emphasize piramage
* The Squirrel and the Fox (Things with Wings)
* Paper Creators Crafts (Punches or Dies) I've used a border punch on the front and inside of the card
* Fussy & Fancy (One for the Boys)
* Whimsy Stamps (Vintage or Shabby Chic)
* A Little Bit Crazy (A Little Bit Shabby)
* Natalie & Amy (Shabby Chic)
* Charisma Cardz (Animals)
* Totally Gorjuss (Wings and Things)
* Creative Moments (Anything Goes/Autumn)
